When you register your Robot with the online App, we collect information about the Robot, such as a Robot name and device number, and information about the Robot and/or App usage, feature usage, in-App transactions, technical specifications, crashes, and other information about how you use your Robot and the product App. For example, the Robot could collect and transmit information about the Robot’s function and use statistics, such as battery life and health, start and stop times, and number of missions.Certain Robot models are equipped to collect information about the environment in which the Robot is deployed. For example, the Robot collects information about its movement throughout the environment to create a location ‘map’ of the space accessible to the Robot. The spatial map is a digital representation of the Robot's domain and does not include recognizable images from the location environment. To create the map, the Robot converts computer-vision images to abstract features and landmarks to generate a spatial representation of the Robot’s territory indicating the presence of objects, obstacles, floor coverings like carpet or tile, Wi-Fi signal strength, and dirt detection.We use this information to collect and analyze statistics and usage data, diagnose and fix technology problems, enhance device performance, and improve user experience. We may use this information to provide you personalized communications, including marketing and promotional messages, such as emails providing product order information when your device indicates a battery needs replacement. We consider location mapping data to be sensitive, confidential information and we do not share this information with third parties for marketing purposes. Please visit our Data Security page to learn more.Our Robots do not transmit this information unless you register your device online and connect to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or connect to the internet via another method. It is possible to use our smart technology Robots without Wi-Fi or Bluetooth data transmission, simply by disconnecting your Wi-Fi or Bluetooth from the device or by never connecting it at all. You can also choose through your settings in the App to not to have location mapping data transmitted to us.Information collected automatically.We and our third party service providers may collect certain types of usage information when you visit our Website or mobile Apps, read our emails, or otherwise engage with us. We use this information to enhance and personalize your user experience, to monitor and improve our websites and services, and for other internal purposes. In some instances, we and our third party service providers may combine this usage information with personal information. The data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Data access is controlled strictly and limited only to authorized personnel to do their job and help improve your product experiences.How is data secure while in transit?All FAST CR, a.s. connected products communicate with the FAST CR, a.s. cloud service using robust encryption. Currently, we use encryption and Transport Layer Security. Data encryption is augmented through strong identity management. All FAST CR, a.s. connected products have identities when they come out of the factory and those identities are validated upon each new cloud connection.How is data stored at rest?Within FAST CR, a.s.’s cloud (built on top of AWS), customer data is stored encrypted. Customer data has multiple encryption keys which are rotated on a regular basis to reduce the risk of the data being compromised even in the event of a key exposure.Within the mobile application, data storage follows the platform’s standards for application-secure data; any sensitive data that is used by the application is not stored on the mobile device, but is instead securely transported to FAST CR, a.s.’s cloud for storage.How do we keep our products up-to-date and secure?In conjunction with our security-minded development processes, FAST CR, a.s. ensures that we monitor and adhere to all supplier and industry alerts regarding security patches to systems and components used in our products. The connection is authenticated to ensure it is the official FAST CR, a.s. location. Each download is cryptographically signed to assure it is an official FAST CR, a.s. update.How do we secure the ‘FAST CR, a.s.’ App?The mobile ‘FAST CR, a.s.’ application is built to the security standards as specified by the manufacturers of the operating systems and devices (Apple iOS, Android, Samsung, etc.), and include advanced obfuscation tools to limit reverse-engineering by malicious users. The mobile apps are sold only through qualified application stores from these same manufacturers, and users should only install the app from these sites.How do we secure maps and map data?FAST CR, a.s. considers maps of the home to be your sensitive, confidential information. Maps are protected following the industry standard guidelines to ensure the security of this data just like any other personal data. In addition to the standards mentioned above for encryption at-rest and in-flight, access to this data is tightly controlled, monitored and regularly audited. FAST CR, a.s. machines accessing this data have data-leak prevention software installed to ensure the data is tracked as it is accessed for use in customer support and robot improvement processes.How secure is using an app not provided by FAST CR, a.s.?FAST CR, a.s. embraces innovation and lets third-party software interact with our products when that software presents the correct credentials. As a result, independent developers are able to create tools and accessories that may create an enhanced user experience for you. If the reported security issue will be confirmed by looking at the impact, severity and exploit complexity of the vulnerability report; we may ask for your further contribution to resolve the potential vulnerability within 90 days, and we will be updating you about the progress every 2 weeks.
