At UAEV Ltd, we take the security of our connected Robot products very seriously. Please visit our Data Security page to learn more about our UAEV Ltd security principles for our connected Robot products.

1. HOW WE COLLECT AND USE INFORMATION

. Generally. We collect personal information in order to provide you with a personalized, useful and efficient experience. The categories of information we collect can include:

• Information you provide. We collect and store personal information including your name, email address, user name and password, shipping address, billing information, and phone number when you register for an UAEV Ltd account, use the UAEV Ltd Services, shop online, sign up for offers, or communicate with us. If you register your device online or through mail or another registration means, we also collect information about your Robot, such as the device ID, serial number or product code. We may also collect personal information when you send us an email, or provide us with comments, chat message and opinions on our Website or through our Service.
• Information we receive from third parties. If you login to our Website or Apps through a third party social network or authentication service, these services will authenticate your identity and may share your personal information with us (such as your name, email address, and profile information). Similarly, we may receive certain personal information if you interact with our accounts on a social network, such as by “Liking” or “Following.” The data we receive from these third party services is dependent upon your privacy settings with the social network. You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to our website or Service.

We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service, to process and ship orders, to provide customer service, and to communicate directly with you, such as to send you information about your orders, product sales, special offers, and new site features.   You can control your receipt of email by visiting your Account page on our Web Site or through the App.  We may also send you Service-related emails or notifications (e.g., account verification, order confirmations, change or updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices).  You may not be able to opt-out of Service-related e-mails.  For more information about your communication preferences, see “Your Choices Regarding Your Information” below.

Information We Collect from Registered Devices Equipped with Smart Technology.

Some of our Robots are equipped with smart technology which allows the Robots to transmit data wirelessly to the Service.  When you register your Robot with the online App, we collect information about the Robot, such as a Robot name and device number, and information about the Robot and/or App usage, feature usage, in-App transactions, technical specifications, crashes, and other information about how you use your Robot and the product App.  For example, the Robot could collect and transmit information about the Robot’s function and use statistics, such as battery life and health, start and stop times, and number of missions. 

Certain Robot models are equipped to collect information about the environment in which the Robot is deployed. For example, the Robot collects information about its movement throughout the environment to create a location ‘map’ of the space accessible to the Robot. The spatial map is a digital representation of the Robot's domain and does not include recognizable images from the location environment. To create the map, the Robot converts computer-vision images to abstract features and landmarks to generate a spatial representation of the Robot’s territory indicating the presence of objects, obstacles, floor coverings like carpet or tile, Wi-Fi signal strength, and dirt detection.

We use this information to collect and analyze statistics and usage data, diagnose and fix technology problems, enhance device performance, and improve user experience. We may use this information to provide you personalized communications, including marketing and promotional messages, such as emails providing product order information when your device indicates a battery needs replacement. We consider location mapping data to be sensitive, confidential information and we do not share this information with third parties for marketing purposes. Our Robots do not transmit this information unless you register your device online and connect to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or connect to the internet via another method.  It is possible to use our smart technology Robots without Wi-Fi or Bluetooth data transmission, simply by disconnecting your Wi-Fi or Bluetooth from the device or by never connecting it at all.  You can also choose through your settings in the App to not to have location mapping data transmitted to us.

Information collected automatically.

We and our third party service providers may collect certain types of usage information when you visit our Website or mobile Apps, read our emails, or otherwise engage with us. We use this information to enhance and personalize your user experience, to monitor and improve our websites and services, and for other internal purposes. In some instances, we and our third party service providers may combine this usage information with personal information. If we do combine any usage information with personal information, the combined information will be treated by us as personal information.

We typically collect this information through a variety of tracking technologies, including cookies, web beacons, embedded scripts, location-identifying technologies, file information, and similar technology (collectively, “tracking technologies”). We, and our third party partners, use tracking technologies to automatically collect usage and device information, such as:

• Information about your device and its software, such as your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, device type/model/manufacturer, operating system, date and time stamp, and a unique ID that allows us to uniquely identify your browser, mobile device, or your account (including, for example, a persistent device identifier or an Ad ID), and other such information. We may also work with third-party partners to employ technologies, including the application of statistical modeling tools, which permit us to recognize and contact you across multiple devices.
• Information about the way you access and use our Service. For example, the website from which you came and the website to which you are going when you leave our Website, the pages you visit, the links you click, whether you open emails or click the links contained in emails, whether you access the Website from multiple devices, and other actions you take on the Website.
• Information about your location, including GPS coordinates (e.g., latitude and/or longitude) or similar information regarding the location of your mobile device, or we may be able to approximate or infer a device’s location by analyzing other information, like an IP address.
• Analytics information. We may collect analytics data or use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Sites and to understand more about the demographics of our users. We use this data to: (a) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the websites; (b) provide and monitor the effectiveness of the Service; (c) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, usage, and demographic patterns on our website and the Service; (d) diagnose or fix technology problems; and (e) otherwise to plan for and enhance our Service. Although we do our best to honor the privacy preferences of our users, we are unable to respond to Do Not Track signals set by your browser at this time.

• Other companies owned by or under common ownership as UAEV Ltd, which also includes our subsidiaries (i.e., any organization we own or control) or our ultimate holding company (i.e., any organization that owns or controls us) and any subsidiaries it owns.  These companies will use your personal information in the same way as we can under this Policy;
• Third party vendors, affiliates, and other service providers that perform services on our behalf, solely in order to carry out their work for us, which may include identifying and serving targeted advertisements, providing e-commerce services, content or service fulfillment, billing, web site operation, payment processing and authorization, customer service, or providing analytics services.
• From time to time, with selected third parties who we think may offer you products or services you may enjoy;
• Third parties at your request.  For example, UAEV Ltd permits third parties to develop apps and tools which interact with our Robots, including, for example, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. If you choose to utilize a third party app or service, we will permit the third party to collect information from your Robot. Please note that UAEV Ltd does not control the data collection and use practices of these third parties. You should carefully review the third party privacy policy and other documents before connecting your Robot to the third party service. 
• Other parties in connection with any company transaction, such as a merger, sale of all or a portion of company assets or shares, reorganization, financing, change of control or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company or third party or in the event of bankruptcy or related or similar proceedings; and
• Third parties as required to (i) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, subpoena/court order, legal process or other government request, (ii) enforce our Terms of Use Agreement, including the investigation of potential violations thereof, (iii) investigate and defend ourselves against any third party claims or allegations, (iv) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of UAEV Ltd, its users or the public as required or permitted by law and (v) detect, prevent or otherwise address criminal (including fraud or stalking), security or technical issues.

We may also share information with others in an aggregated and anonymous form that does not reasonably identify you directly as an individual.

3. THIRD PARTY TRACKING AND ONLINE ADVERTISING

We participate in interest-based advertising and use third party advertising companies to serve you targeted advertisements based on your online browsing history and your interests.  We permit third party online advertising networks, social media companies and other third party services, to collect information about your use of our Website and Apps over time so that they may play or display ads on our Website, on other websites, apps or services you may use, and on other devices you may use. Typically, though not always, the information used for interest-based advertising is collected through cookies or similar tracking technologies. We may share a common account identifier (such as an email address or user ID) or hashed data with our third party advertising partners to help identify you across devices. We and our third party partners use this information to make the advertisements you see online more relevant to your interests, as well as to provide advertising-related services such as reporting, attribution, analytics and market research.  

Google Analytics and Advertising.  We may also utilize certain forms of display advertising and other advanced features through Google Analytics, such as Remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. These features enable us to use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick advertising cookie) or other third-party cookies together to inform, optimize, and display ads based on your past visits to the Website and Apps.  You may control your advertising preferences or opt-out of certain Google advertising products by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager, currently available at https://google.com/ads/preferences,

4. YOUR CHOICES REGARDING YOUR INFORMATION

Access, correct and update personal information.  You can access, correct and update certain personal information that you have provided to us by clicking on “My Account” on our website.

Marketing communications. You can control your communication preferences through “My Account” page on our Web Site or App.  You can also click the “unsubscribe” button on any promotional email communication we send you.  Note that you may not be able to unsubscribe or opt-out of non-promotional messages regarding your account, such as account verification, order confirmations, change or updates to features of the Service, or technical and security notices. 

Device collection. You can control or stop the collection of usage data from your registered UAEV Ltd device by disconnecting your Wi-Fi or Bluetooth from the app, for example, by changing your Wi-Fi password. Please contact us at www.hctrobot.com if you have questions about disconnecting your Robot.

Online advertising. You may be able to avoid the collection of information through some cookies or other tracking technologies by actively managing the settings on your browser or mobile device.  Please review the technical information for your browser or mobile device for instructions on how to delete and disable cookies and other tracking/recording tools. Please note that some advertising opt-outs may not be effective unless your browser is set to accept cookies. Furthermore, if you use a different device, change browsers or delete the opt-out cookies, you may need to perform the opt-out task again.    You may also be able to limit certain interest-based mobile advertising through the settings on your mobile device by selecting “limit ad tracking” (iOS) or “opt-out of interest based ads” (Android).

Data Retention.  You may contact us at www.hctrobot.com to request your personal information be deleted from our systems.  We reserve the right to de-identify your personal data, including information about Robot and Service usage, and to retain your anonymized information for our own records.   

5. SECURITY AND STORAGE OF INFORMATION

UAEV Ltd cares about the security of your information and uses physical, administrative, and technological safeguards to help to preserve the integrity and security of all information we collect and that we share with our service providers.  However, no security system is impenetrable and we cannot guarantee the security of our systems 100%.  In the event that any information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security, we will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised and take other steps, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.  If you wish to change your password, or if you become aware of any loss, theft or unauthorized use of your password, please contact us at pyoperation3@hct.hk

UAEV Ltd may process your personal information on servers not in your home country.  You consent to the transfer of your personal information to China or any other geographic location. If you are accessing the website or Service from outside of China, please be advised that China law or the laws of any other jurisdiction where we or our service providers process your personal information may not offer the same privacy protections as the law of your jurisdiction, and in certain circumstances, your personal information may be accessible to law enforcement and regulatory authorities in accordance with the laws of these other jurisdictions.

6. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Services are not directed to persons under 13 and we do not intentionally collect or maintain information from persons under 13.  If you become aware that personal information about a person under 13 has been provided to us, please immediately contact us using the details below.

7. LINKS TO THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

The Services may, from time to time, contain links to and from third party websites of our partner networks, advertisers, partner merchants, retailers and affiliates.  If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies.  Please check the individual policies before you submit any information to those websites.  Additionally, our websites may include social media features such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest buttons (such as “Like,” “Tweet” or “Pin”).  These social media sites may automatically record information about your browsing behavior every time you visit a site that has a social media button, regardless of whether you click on the button.  Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing the feature, not by our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to modify this Policy from time to time. If we make any changes to this Policy, we will change the "Last Revision" date below and will post the updated Policy on this page.

9. OUR APP MAYBE WILL GRANT FLOOWING PERMISSIONS DURING IN THE USING PERIOD:

We need permissions for the following authorities in the APP, which are used to enable features of the APP and will not be used for other purposes.We will get agreement of user before acquiring the related authorities.

（1）During the using of APP, APP need to have the  permission for file storage, file read and write which used to store or cache business data to the mobile phone,eg: caching photo of user and interface data.

（2）During the using of APP, APP need to have the  permission for connecting to the network and Wi-Fi、capturing network information to establish network connection between APP and device.

（3）During the using of APP, APP need to have the  permission for recording audio, using camera, obtaining local photo album which used to modify the photo of user, provide feedback in APP, also camera device need those authorities.

（4）During the using of APP, APP need to have the  permission for obtaining location or gps、modifing system setting、 changing Wi-Fi status and capturing Wi-Fi information to establish network connection between APP and device.

（5）During the using of APP, APP need to have the permission for call to initiate the call in help center.

Welcome to UAEV Ltd Family!

UAEV LTD User Agreement (the“Agreement”) is entered into among you (or“User“, means all individuals or entities who register, log in, use or browse our services), UAEV LTD Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates (hereinafter referred to as“UAEV LTD”or “us” ) and our operational cooperators (hereinafter referred to as “Cooperator”), with respect to https://www.hctrobot.com/ (hereinafter referred to as“Site” ) and the products, programs and services (hereinafter referred to as “Services”, including but not limited to UAEV Ltd APP ) of UAEV LTD.

 Please read this Agreement carefully and fully understand, including disclaimers, liability restrictions, rights and restrictions, and choose to accept or not accept this Agreement (minors shall read this Agreement with their legal guardians). If you do not comply with our terms or policies, the language may suspend or discontinue the provision of services to you. User content

 User content refers to all content generated by downloading, publishing or other activities through this website and the language service (your information, pictures, music or other content). You assume sole responsibility for such content and all risks arising from the disclosure of such user content.

 After uploading, publishing or participating in the activities through this website and the UAEV LTD service, it shall be deemed to be granted an irrevocable, non-exclusive, sub-authorized, transferable and tax-free version of the global license to UAEV LTD in order to:

• By using user content ,provide you with Chinese products and services to improve them. We can also copy, publish, display, produce derivative works / or bring them into other works, or otherwise use your user account (except personal information); you grant a transfer license for the above matters;
• Copy and publish your content and personal information only to designated receiver;
• You agree that you irrevocably waive any and all ownership, legal and moral rights to your user content.

 Rights and obligations

You have the right to use this website legally.

You have the right to upload, download, install and use Chinese products and services on mobile communication devices.

 UAEV LTD language and its related companies have the ownership of UAEV LTD language accounts. Upon completion of your registration, you have the right to use a UAEV LTD account. The authority to use the account belongs to you only, but not to borrow, lease, license, transfer, gift or sell the account. The language has the right to recover any account according to the operational requirements.

 You have the right to change or delete personal information, registration information and any content published. Please note that you must take the risk that any pictures or words saved in the system may also be deleted when deleting relevant information.

 You should be responsible for the security of account information and password, and take legal responsibility for the activities under the registered account. You agree not to use the password and account in the name of another person under any circumstances. You agree to immediately notify UAEV LTD once you suspect others using your password or Account.

Rights Limitations and Restrictions

You shall not sell, lease, transfer, release or make other commercial use of the content from the Site or UAEV LTD products and services (including but not limited to content or the advertisements or sponsored content);

You shall not visit the Site or use UAEV LTD Services to establish similar or competitive services.

Unless expressly prescribed by laws, you shall not copy, publish, download, change, translate, merge, decompose, and paste or decompile etc. any part of the Site or UAEV LTD Services ( including but not limited to the content or the advertisements or sponsored content) in any manner;

You agree to bear all the risks and take full legal liability for the following activities while using the Site or Services.

Publish or spread any other content prohibited by the local administrative regulations and laws.

You shall not use the Site or UAEV LTD Services to engage in any behavior or activity stated below:

Upload or release virus, worm, and malware to damage or change computer system or data.

Collect the information or date of other users, such as email address, without authorization;

Disable network connection of the Site, make the Site to over handle, interrupt or undermine the website server and connection in other ways;

Interrupt or undermine other users’ normal use of thee UAEV LTD Services.

 Third party

 You understand and agree that our services are based on technical support from third parties such as Android, etc. you understand and consent that we may provide some of your personal date to such third parties in the course of receiving technical or any other support from them. You agree and authorize the Site and UAEV LTD products and services to limit your rights of using the Site and UAEV LTD Services.

User Content means the content that is downloaded released or generated while using the Site and UAEV LTD products and services by users. You have to take legal responsibilities for content disclosure caused by you.

When you visit the websites and advertisement of a third party, the third party’s terms and policy applies. You will bear all risks and legal responsibility when you use third party’s services.

The Site and UAEV LTD products and services include content provided by other users, and the interaction between you and other users only belongs to you and other users. UAEV LTD does not control such User Content, bear legal liability, or own the obligations to check, monitor, examine and approve such User Content. You thus bear legal liability for the risks of such interaction.

 Liability for our Services

You agree to use the Site or Services harmlessly and help UAEV LTD to avoid bearing any lawsuit, complaint, loss, damage, responsibility, cost and fees (including but not limited to counsel fees) from any third party caused by the use of the Site or Services, you user content, your violation of this Agreement.

UAEV LTD reserves the exclusive right to defend and the right to claim for compensation.

User Content refers to all the content (your information, picture, music or others) results from downloads, releases or other activities through the Site and UAEV LTD Services. You are solely responsible for such content, and bear all the risks results from your disclosing user content.

You will not unilaterally reconcile when you and UAEV LTD jointly file a lawsuit against any third party without written consent fromUAEV LTD.

UAEV LTD will reasonably notify you such lawsuit or action at law.

Under no circumstance UAEV LTD will bear any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental,, exceptional or punitive compensation results from this Agreement. You bear all the risks from using the computer system and mobile database through the Site or Services.

Disclaimer of Warranty

UAEV LTD will not bear any legal liability under circumstances stated below:

• Provide your personal information in accordance with local regulations and government request;
• Disclose private information caused by your negligent actions;
• Any circumstances caused by suspension, breakdown and so on that result from the hacking, virus invasion, blockings due to illegal and harassing content, government control or any other reasons related to network, technique, communication line and information security management.
• Cause losses to the users because of any third party, such as the communication line breakdown technical problems, the network and computer breakdown, and other cases of force majeure;
• Risks come from threat, defamation, offensive or illegal information that caused by anonymous or percolation through the Site or UAEV LTD products and services;
• Any psychological or physical suffer and economic losses due to misleading or deceiving when you interact with others through the Site or Service.
• The Site or UAEV LTD products and service expressively declare that we do not guarantee timeliness, security and accuracy of the Services expressly, impliedly or in other forms. The Services include but not limited to the following,

The “Intelligent Phone Number Recognition” Service, where the “ Intelligent Phone Number Recognition” Service refers to the service that recognize phone numbers that come from incoming and outgoing calls or text messages. UAEV LTD will upload such number to its server, therefore identify the “Marked Information” of such number. Your data and information in this Service will be strictly protected, and we make sure you cannot be identified result from uploading such information.

Such Marked Information is provided by users or network partners. We use technical means to ensure that (i) such Marked Information is consistent with the information uploaded by many users during a period of time (i.e., when the tag information of a strange phone number is “ a fraud telephone number marked by 500 people”, it indicated that a large number of users determine the number of telephone is a fraud and updated the Marked Information within a period of time); (ii) filter and select the most reliable Marked Information, and indicate the sources of such information to you.  Meanwhile, we provide the option for users to send us feedback on Marked Information.

Any content posted by the user on the Site does not represent or reflect any viewpoint or policy of UAEV LTD ; UAEV LTD does not bear any responsibility for this.

 Under no circumstances shall UAEV LTD bear any responsibility for any  indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, exceptional or punitive damages, including profit losses caused by using UAEV LTD ‘s Services. In spite of the provisions in this Agreement, the responsibilities we bear will not exceed the fees (if any) you pay for UAEV LTD Services during registration valid period, for any reason or in any manner.

Intelligential Property

Any information posted on the Site or the Interactive platform should not infringe the intellectual property or any third party. You cannot upload, release, change, spread or copy any material or trademark under copyright protection, or proprietary information of others, without the written consent of the owner. If UAEV LTD receives the appropriate notice from any copyright owner or its legal representative, we will remove the related content after investigation.

Graphics, words and composition involving UAEV LTD and other UAEV LTD logos appear in UAEV LTD products and services are the trademarks of UAEV LTD.  Without written consent, you cannot display or use them in other manners in any way. By no means can any entity or individual use, copy, change, spread, transcribe any part of the trademark or bundling sell with other products.

In addition to the previsions therefore, you can promptly contact us through our email address ( pyoperation3@hct.hk)  if you think someone copies or publishes your work on the Site, and also infringe your copyright. Please also include the following information in the written notice: (i) materials evidencing that you have copyright or you are authorized to exercise copyright of the allegedly infringing content; (ii) your explicit identification, address and contact information; (iii) the network address of the allegedly infringing content; (iv) the description of the allegedly infringing copyright works; (v)materials evidencing that your copyright infringed; (vi) under the premise that you agree to bear all consequences of perjury, you issue written statement of the accuracy and authenticity of the content in your written notice.

Modification and Termination

Modified Terms

We may change or modify terms of this Agreement at any time, and will not notify you through your email address or notifications on the Site. Your use of the Site and all other services of UAEV LTD after modifications to the terms indicate that you agree to such changes;

UAEV LTD reserves the right to modify, keep and suspend the Site and UAEV LTD products and services without notification from time to time.

You agree that UAEV LTD will not take any responsibility for changing, reserving or suspending the Site and UAEV LTD products and services, the actions taken by other services, or third parties.

Additional Terms

Feedback

Your suggestion to UAEV LTD (“feedback”) is regards as transferring all rights of Feedback, UAEV LTD has the right to use the Feedback in any appropriate method. We also consider this feedback unclassified and non-exclusive.

You agree to not provide any information you regard as privacy and proprietary to UAEV LTD. We reserve the rights (not obligations) to examine your content on our judgements. We have the right to remove your content at any time for any reason. According to the terms of Modification and Termination, we have the right to reserve or terminate your account.

Privacy Policy

Notification

You must provide the latest, most used and valid email address. UAEV LTD will not take any responsibility if we are unable to reach you through the email address you provide. Undoubtedly, the notifications on the Site and emails sent to you consist of valid notifications.

Independence

If some provisions of this Agreement cannot be applied for some reasons, they will be revised to apply legally; and other provisions remain applicable.

Integrality

This Agreement (including the Privacy Policy) is the ultimate, integral and exclusive agreement between you and UAEV LTD, in relation to any matter relating to the Site and UAEV LTD products and services.

The title of each paragraph is written only for the convenience of reading and does not have any legal or contractual obligations.

Without written consent from UAEV LTD, you cannot transfer the rights and obligations stated in this Agreement. Any behavior or activity violates the provision about such a transfer attempt is invalid.

We do everything in our control to make sure the data we have in our system is used for one purpose: making your life easier with UAEV Ltd products. Below are some answers to commonly asked questions regarding the security of the data we have at UAEV Ltd:

How do we secure our connected products?

At UAEV Ltd, we take a defense-in-depth approach to security, adding multiple layers of protection around our robots, cloud and apps from start to finish. We ensure that the development of our products follows industry-standard security best practices, and we are using technology-leading tools to assist our development and security teams during this process. When deployed to market, we work with our suppliers and partners to ensure that our products and our suppliers' and partners' supporting infrastructure (including physical infrastructure, cloud and mobile apps) are properly configured, monitored and continuous security improvement processes are in place.

How do we handle your data?

All the data collected from your UAEV Ltd products as per the Privacy policy is handled with care and high levels of security. The data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Data access is controlled strictly and limited only to authorized personnel to do their job and help improve your product experiences.

How is data secure while in transit?

All UAEV Ltd connected products communicate with the UAEV Ltd cloud service using robust encryption. Currently, we use encryption and Transport Layer Security. Data encryption is augmented through strong identity management. All UAEV Ltd connected products have identities when they come out of the factory and those identities are validated upon each new cloud connection.

How is data stored at rest?

Within UAEV Ltd’s cloud (built on top of AWS), customer data is stored encrypted. Customer data has multiple encryption keys which are rotated on a regular basis to reduce the risk of the data being compromised even in the event of a key exposure.

Within the mobile application, data storage follows the platform’s standards for application-secure data; any sensitive data that is used by the application is not stored on the mobile device, but is instead securely transported to UAEV Ltd’s cloud for storage.

How do we keep our products up-to-date and secure?

In conjunction with our security-minded development processes, UAEV Ltd ensures that we monitor and adhere to all supplier and industry alerts regarding security patches to systems and components used in our products.  Additionally, we actively promote and sponsor private bug bounty programs and hacking events to collaborate with the broad security research community to assist UAEV Ltd to responsibly address any vulnerabilities that may be discovered in our products.

How are the robots securely updated in the home?

When a robot requires an update, the robots are notified of the available update when they interact with the cloud and connect to a secure location to download a software update. The connection is authenticated to ensure it is the official UAEV Ltd location. Each download is cryptographically signed to assure it is an official UAEV Ltd update.

How do we secure the ‘UAEV Ltd’ App?

The mobile ‘UAEV Ltd’ application is built to the security standards as specified by the manufacturers of the operating systems and devices (Apple iOS, Android, Samsung, etc.), and include advanced obfuscation tools to limit reverse-engineering by malicious users. The mobile apps are sold only through qualified application stores from these same manufacturers, and users should only install the app from these sites.

How do we secure maps and map data?

UAEV Ltd considers maps of the home to be your sensitive, confidential information. Maps are protected following the industry standard guidelines to ensure the security of this data just like any other personal data.  In addition to the standards mentioned above for encryption at-rest and in-flight, access to this data is tightly controlled, monitored and regularly audited.  UAEV Ltd machines accessing this data have data-leak prevention software installed to ensure the data is tracked as it is accessed for use in customer support and robot improvement processes.

How secure is using an app not provided by UAEV Ltd?

UAEV Ltd embraces innovation and lets third-party software interact with our products when that software presents the correct credentials. As a result, independent developers are able to create tools and accessories that may create an enhanced user experience for you. While the security of your data produced by your robot and stored in theUAEV Ltd cloud remain safe, UAEV Ltd recommends you to verify the third-party documents on how your data is handled.
